Coming Together

Coming Together is a short film that explores the power and impact of youth actvisim as it is seen through the lens of two generations. Avery Smedley and Dr. Farah Jasmine Griffin are the two interviewees in this film, and throughout the eight minutes we see what youth activism means to them, the impact they believe it has had on major human rights movement as well as the constant it has played in their own lives. With Avery showing the perspective of a contemporary youth activist and Dr. Griffin showing that of a scholar/youth activist in her own time, the film ends up showing a thorough idea of what it means to be an activst regardless of age.
